The right wheel size depends on your hamster’s breed. Larger hamsters, like Syrians, need larger wheels around 20–30 cm in diameter to run comfortably without arching their backs. Dwarf hamsters can use smaller wheels, typically around 15–20 cm. Always choose a wheel that allows your hamster to run with a straight back to prevent strain or injury.
